Tangram
The modular Tangram is reminiscent of the popular Chinese dissection puzzle game. Instead of the seven pieces it uses only two basic shapes to describe all the letters in this alphabet – one is the full tile, the other one the half tile. Half tiles can be obtained either by diagonally cutting tinted and untinted tiles and assembling them to form squares, or by partially tinting square tiles. Use the font to map out the type. Outline the final text, then count the full and the half tiles to determine how many of each kind you need to recreate the text on the desired surface.
