FENCES DE VENEN (2012)
Atelier René Knip was the winner of an art committee competition with the objective to create a fence design for farmers in 2012.
René designed a robust, oak-wooden sheet fence with hinges and locks made of black, powder-coated steel. A building kit for the countryside, that the farmers could assemble and place themselves. Paying homage to the rich history of these small plots of land, Knip included a black name tag at the top of the fence, for the farmers to pick a name for their land, just as they had in the past.
The type design used for this is part of the ARK-type collection.
